On-Chain Account Setup

Getting Started

Setting up your RebelFi on-chain account is the first step toward transforming how your business manages finances on the blockchain. This process establishes your secure, programmable financial hub where all your RebelFi activities will take place—from zero-fee payment processing to automatic yield generation. The setup is straightforward and only takes a few minutes. The most important decision you'll make during this process is choosing how you want to control your account through an Admin Wallet.

Choosing Your Admin Wallet

When setting up your RebelFi on-chain account, you'll need to choose an Admin Wallet option. This wallet will serve as the primary authority for your RebelFi account, allowing you to manage funds, approve transactions, and control account settings. We offer two distinct setup options to match your specific needs:

Option 1: Connect an Existing Solana Wallet

Best for: Users who already have a Solana wallet or plan to use their wallet for activities beyond RebelFi.

How It Works:

  • Connect your existing browser-based wallet (we recommend Phantom)

  • Maintain full control with your existing wallet credentials

  • Access all advanced Solana ecosystem features

Advantages:

  • Unified wallet management across multiple Solana applications

  • Full access to all Solana ecosystem features and services

  • No need to manage additional credentials

  • Enhanced security through your existing wallet's security features

Considerations:

  • Requires you to manage your own passphrase/seed phrase

  • Slightly more complex initial setup if you don't already have a wallet

Option 2: Create an Embedded Wallet

Best for: New users or those who want a streamlined experience focused solely on RebelFi.

How It Works:

  • Create a new wallet instantly within RebelFi using Dynamic

  • Authenticate via social login (Google, Twitter, etc.)

  • No need to write down or store seed phrases

Advantages:

  • Quick and easy setup process (under 30 seconds)

  • Simplified recovery through your social login credentials

  • No seed phrases to write down and secure

  • Perfect for users new to blockchain technology

Considerations:

  • Limited to RebelFi functionality

  • Fewer advanced features than a full-featured wallet

Which Option Should You Choose?

Choose Option 1 (Connect Existing Wallet) if:

  • You already have a Solana wallet like Phantom

  • You plan to use your wallet across multiple Solana applications

  • You want access to advanced wallet features

  • You're comfortable managing your own seed phrases

Choose Option 2 (Embedded Wallet) if:

  • You're new to Solana or blockchain technology

  • You only need a wallet for RebelFi account management

  • You prefer a simplified login experience through social accounts

  • You want to avoid managing seed phrases

Note: Regardless of which option you choose, your funds remain non-custodial and fully controlled by you. RebelFi never has access to your wallet's private keys.
